How To Mine ADA(Cardano) in 2023 – Yes, It Is Possible!
Mining Cardano(ADA) in 2023 is indeed possible. Read on to learn which software and hardware you need to start mining ADA right now!
I know, I know- ADA can’t be mined. At least that’s what everybody talks around, including the top Google results for this question.
And all of these opinions are based on the fact that Cardano is based on a proof-of-stake algorithm.
However, since the inception of unMineable, ADA can be mined with your PC. And that’s exactly what this tutorial is about.
How to mine ADA coins in 2023?
Mining ADA in 2023 is a rather easy process.
Although right now there’s no GUI mining software for it, the setup instructions aren’t that complicated(nor different from mining Shiba Inu), and I will explain everything in detail.
But first- you need an ADA wallet:
Getting a cryptocurrency wallet for Cardano(ADA)
A wallet for Cardano can be acquired in various ways.
And the list of wallets that support Cardano is rather HUGE.
However, I will here list the 4 most used ones, as they are all in different categories and sum up the situation and possibilities well:
- Daedalus– An open-source wallet for Cardano(ADA). This is a robust wallet that comes with all possibilities of a Cardano wallet- sending and receiving ADA, as well as staking it and voting within the Cardano ecosystem.
- Yoroi– a much lighter wallet that can be used for sending and receiving ADA only, from your browser or mobile phone.
- Ledger Nano X– a hardware wallet that can be used for both sending and receiving, as well as locking your ADA balance.
- Binance– a modern cryptocurrency exchange that holds hundreds of different crypto wallets for each of its customers.
It’s up to you to review these possibilities and pick the ADA wallet that works best for you.
Any from above or any other wallet that accepts ADA will work.
Once you have the wallet all setup, get your public wallet address(as you will be mining your ADA directly to it).
Choosing the best mining software for Cardano
As already mentioned, the only way to mine ADA in 2022 is through unMineable(our guide here).
And when mining with unMineable, we have four different console software to choose from:
Each of them is rather similar in how it operates, and you can learn the setup instructions for each of them via the links above.
The mining instructions specifically for ADA are a little below.
PhoenixMiner can be used to mine the Ethash algorithm only, but it’s doing it rather well.
T-Rex has support for 7-8 different algorithms, and also supports API access.
NBMiner has a nice electricity consumption optimization, and in my case seems to provide the best ROI.
I don’t have that much experience with the lolMiner mining software, but lolMiner can also be used for unMineable, so have to be considered.
The important thing is to test them all if possible.
Yes, it takes a bit of time to download and configure everything, and if we’re talking about four different mining apps then we have to multiply the time by four.
However, doing so will pay off long-term.
Different hardware mines differently in regards to which mining software is used, and which mining algorithm it is cracking.
You may spend a bit more time testing, but in the end, you will be mining the most profitable combination for your hardware.
In some cases, the difference can be rather huge(we’re talking 50-100% difference), when mining with different software and the same hardware.
I’m mining with NBMiner, but you should mine with the one that’s most profitable for you.

Cardano(ADA) mining FAQ
Cardano(ADA) is not a mineable coin, and until recently it wasn’t possible. However, in 2023 we have unMineable, which can be used to mine ADA with your GPU, and even CPU.
The answer to this question depends on which hardware and software you use. For example, mining with a GTX 1050Ti and NBMiner will earn you somewhere between 0.5 and 1 ADA per day.
This is an individual question that only you can answer. Do you believe that ADA will go up? Mining ADA is profitable with most GPUs nowadays. The more GPUs you utilize for mining ADA, the more ADA you can mine. At the beginning of 2021, the ADA price was $0.18. In November of 2021, 1 ADA was worth $3.03. Right now(20. January 2023), the price for one ADA is around $0.33.
The max supply of Cardano(ADA) coins is 45,000,000,000. The current circulating supply of ADA is 33,540,097,578.
